guys,

i had the exhaust done on my clubsport by this guy and he said i could leave the old exhaust there for a little while.

whats happened now is that he's done a clean up and he tells me that he's thrown it out.

can he do that? do i have a leg to stand on (bearing in mind there was nothing in writing to say he was actually keeping my old one for a while?)

I’m not a lawyer but I think legally you still own that exhaust it was in fact on your car to start with. I hate that same happened to me I took my CV8 to the exhaust place and both the springs and the entire exhaust change I did mention to him twice I want all the items that are removed from the car to be place in the boot. I was out of town at the time and my father picked up the car for me, as I thought the old exhaust was their but the springs weren’t. I asked him twice for the springs finally I got them back don’t forget they were FE2 springs 2000km old.
As you have said maybe it was best you had it written on paper that always helps.
I don’t believe his done a clean up on a clubsport exhaust system, I think his done a different clean up altogether.
