Fantastic looking Senator, from the outside to the engine bay. One of the best condition of seen.
By the way whats the suspension setup running on it if thats ok. :D

Do you have any problems with the rear tyres shredding very quickly due to the IRS? Because my old VR caprice I went through rear tyres yearly as soon as you add load to the rear the tyres shred over time quicker have you experience this with your Senator???

Thanks GTS215 It took me along time to find one this clean.
I had a vr senator 215i 6 speed but some f--kin low life c--t stole it so i got a vt ss then a vs clubsport, wasn't happy wiyh them so i looked around for another senator.
The suspension set up is pedders.
Sir Hsv no i don't have any problems with the rear tyres had all the kits put in to keep it from doing that.

Interesting do you have any info about these kits?
I prefer your model HSV Senator then any of the new ones the VS models look cool I owned a VR Caprice and loved that car

Great looking Senator!
Tell me, do you think the 215i is better drivers engine than the Gen 3s?
I'm possibly looking at trading mine on an Adventra, but I think I'm going to regret it!

I prefer the sound of the 308 the GENIII still sounds cool when modified but my VR Caprice still with modified exhaust sounded some what deeper and tougher then the GENIII.....

I driven a couple of manual Gen 3s now and autos, but I still think my 215i has a better torque curve. The power is their right from the get go, no need to have the tacho past 4000rpm to get a kick in the pance. Admittedly once the Gen 3 is wound up it leaves the old girl behind, but you have to break the legal limit to find that out! Yep, the note from the Stroked Holden is great, I have no rear resonator, it was a couple of straight pipes for some time, but I have placed a 'hot dog' style resonator in each pipe just to soften the droaning a little. But it still has a nice heart beat!

I personally IMO is that the Aussie 5.7 (350) is a great overall package with the smooth torque curve and instant torque which gives it that get up and go straight away, where as the Gen 3 and knowing a lot of guys from the LS1 crew that unless you get the edit tune etc, the Gen 3 doesn't have that punch feel that the 215i has comparing both as stock. Certainly the gen 3 has a lot more extrating potential from untapped resources but who can beat the sound of the Aussie engine.
I think that the 215i is also better suited for driving enjoyment to the 6 speed.

It's just a adjustable rear camber kit from pedders.
Go with the Aussie V8 sound great and you can get them making go power if you have the $$$ to do it just look at the horse power hero's!

Beautiful Senator! very clean... my dad has a silver VS GTS 215i and i agree that the aussie 5.7 is more responsive than the LS1...has anyone dragged their 215's? i am interested in what they run stock....the best uve heard of is 13.70

Heres a little vid of my car little bit crappy but you get the idea!!
If im not mistaken, you have a starr 90mm throttlebody on your senator. If so, do tell the details. I have been thinking of getting one for some time now however am afraid of whether it was worth it. I;m afraid of losing my low end torque. What other mods? Give me all the details!!!!

Yes i'm running the 90mm starr manifold now.
I have not lost any low down torque, if anything i've got more, the engine is just a mild build that I can still drive and be in comfort still.
9.7 comp new cam roller rockers and so on.
It has made 217rwkw so far so it's not to bad.
Dang, I've been sitting on this decision for almost a year. I got told by an engine performance mechanic that a big manifold will cause me to lose my low end. Now im disapointed i waited so long. How much did the starr kit cost altogether? Did you do the exchange?

I got the starr manifold and starr exhaust second hand the guy I got it from put the vn group a twins on and he said he lost alittle low down torque but pick up heaps in the top end.

Did he lose the low end with the twin, or the starr??

Just an update taken the sv99 wheels off and put on my daily driver. Put the senator wheels back on.
It's been around the block about 3 times in the last 9 months pretty slack.

How can you not drive such a car just sitting there :P
i got rid of my VS II Clubby a year ago, i miss the feel of them, i have a VT 2 R8 and its a very nice car, was going to get a 215 GTS but had a VS Clubby traded in at work for $5000 so im just going to snap that up for now.
Very nice car, love the silver Senators, the VS HSV range was one of the best IMO.

It's just a adjustable rear camber kit from pedders.
Go with the Aussie V8 sound great and you can get them making go power if you have the $$$ to do it just look at the horse power hero's!
On the subject of the peders full suspension pack I have the full package in a lwb and I love it you get a good ride but the harder you push it the harder it gets and here is a comparison my daily calais ahttp://i650.photobucket.com/albums/uu226/383-280/statesman/thecommodores001.jpgnd the weekender
