C2R Bodykit [Customised]

G'day,

Firstly, I don't know much about cars, but I know what i want my VXII Calais to look like. :)

I want to bodykit the car, but don't want to have a 'pretend' car. For example, I'm not going to put a clubsport bodykit on my weak V6 car, which pretty much rules out all HSV bodykits. I am a big fan of the C2R bodykit, but have a few small issues with it which I'm hoping I can fix... maybe.

The C2R bodykit is designed to fit on Exec, Acclaim, SS, etc headlights (rounded, tear drop), but the Calais has the different shapped headlights. The C2R bodykit won't fit on my headlights, and they offer no alternate front ends.

Now, do any of you know roughly how much it's going to cost to get that C2R frontend modified to cater for my headlights, or if it's even possible?

Any shops in Melb you guys know about that could help me out here, because my searching of the Internet has not found much yet...

I don't know how easy it will be to modify the kit but excellent looking kit, surely a vy front end from same blokes would be closer to your VXII limo?

If the bumper is made of fibreglass your in luck. It’s a bit of work but possible if the guy knows what his doing.
The bumpers made by C2R are made of polyurethane material, which means that modify suck bumpers will be very difficult as I understand but give Paul a call and don’t forget to mention that the bumper is made of polyurethane material, don’t be surprised if it will be expensive to modify. Anyway best guy to contact is JPS Autos talk to Paul, just mention Ron from hsvforum sent you. He will be able to help you or guide you in the right direction with what to do. Thanks for your help SirHSV, but unfortunately, Paul said it's not possible to do it and guarantee the quality of it.

I even rang C2R again to speak to someone about it but it's just not possible. They had considered making a C2R bodykit for the Berlina/Calais range, but the demand wasn't there.

So, unless there is a massive influx of VX Calais/Berlina drivers requesting these kits, it's unlikely I'm going to get this kit on my car.

Of course, there is the option of swapping over my headlights to Exec/SS headlights, but I wish to keep my Calais headlights.
