Minor paintwork scratch repair - DIY or workshop?

Hey all any advice would be great. Was a ****head and rubbed a pylon in a parking building. Got a stretch about 10cm long of green paint and about a 5 cm square area of chipping. My commodore is white. I'm wondering if there is any way I can have a crack at fixing this myself. There is no denting at all. I can't really be bothered putting it in a workshop for such a small event. Or do you recommend that?

Any tips would be great, and next time I should look where the 'F', I'm going.

First try Wax & Grease remover Autobahn or Repco should have these products. Wax & Grease remover I would try this first.

Then if that doesn’t work try using a Cut & Polish compound over the area you describe Autobahn should have this stuff and also buy a nice cloth to go with it. Warning do it in a shady place don’t do it under direct sunlight and after that you can try just a normal Polish from Meguires to give it that smooth feeling, try that and see how you go.

Other wise if that doesn’t work Panel Beater is your best bet... :lol:
