i've loved ALL of the HSV models from the walkinshaw, to the HSV jackaroo, to the HSV GTS...
they all serve their own particular purpose and can all be great fun to drive.
if i did have a choice though, id take a VY II GTS, or a HRTE ute :)

i had a ride in the ve senator recently and it was very smooth with nice features and 'stupid' power but for me the vs series cars have the smoothest lines and you feel more in tune with the car whereas the new ones are dampened down by noise restrictions and insulation etc. i also read that cars from the earlier models were "rebuilt" to a degree whereas the new ones come preassembled by holden and then only a few remaining parts are added by hsv...standouts for me are the gtsr and sv99 but i chose a vs senator cause the 215 motor and black/green flip paint combo are rare as and has the power but also a touch of class...

It is the Maloo.

I gotta say the VX GTS remains the meanest ever! But i may be a tad biased. The whole VX range was the best made in my opinion. Ive had a VX R8, my bro had a VX Senator and ive got the VX GTS now, the interior styling and exterior aggressive presence on the road are second to none! HSV at its best!

I'll second that motion MPRSV8!
yeap i had a vx r8 in hsv racing green and i recon its one of the best looking. i now have a vz r8 if only the vx had the ls2 would of been the BEST of cars. but i guess there was the gts. so
i'll say the vx gts 2!!!

Well, after selling my Brock VK Group A, I wanted something a bit different, like most of the HSV's, so I went for the last of the Holden stroker's, VT1 GTS.There is just something about the sound of those strokers that can't compare to the LS1 & 2, & there was only 431 of them built.

Actually there is no specific model for me to be my favorite as long as its working perfectly and look good that would be fine!

The VY GTS are sexy as all hell and no matter what you drive are intimidating in both style and power (and price)!
By the time the VYII rocked around the GTS was special order only and came with the option of adjustable Ohlins suspension, power steering cooler and a couple of other nice little options.......Even though the VYII Clubsport put out 285Kw and the same amount of torque as the GTS, the GTS just reaked of power and presence. By being special order only for the VYII (I wish I had the figures on how many were actually sold) it makes them probably rare as hens teeth....and in my books.....also desirable.
I'll take a Black or Red one thanks....:)

My favourite HSV has got to be the GTS but the new HSV with the 7.0 Litre engine from the United States should be something out of this world. Its got 373 Kw, rival the M5 for peformace and it costs less than half the price!

Nice HSV dude, the VXR isnt your typical V8 HSV, isnt it a 2.3L Turbo? Nice looking car though looks tough and certainly would be a bit easier on the fuel though, not by much i dont reckon.
You cant beat this Coupe 4.Some of you will know this car.
412 stroker, turbo.I watched it go down the quarter mile last week.
Ran 11.302@120mph.Awesome car with all the goodies.
