how come you didnt get these rims?

Andrew5

yes they are the GTO LE rims however when i ordered they were the rims for the grange and senators i saw at the release early last year.

i chose those wheels as they are easy to repair if you look at the senator you will see it has shadow chrome wheels which are impossible to repair as i am anal about how my cars look the only solution when damaged was to buy a new rim, so when i ordered the coupe i chose these rims and i am very happy with them.

you will see the old senator rims in the shot of the coupe on the track as i fitted them up with Bridgestone 540s to race with, the 18" just fit over the six spot callipers.

pic of wheel attached :o

Senator is a manual as is the Coupe only auto i have is the Grange

I really love the collection of cars you have,,, I guess you dont have a garage but a museum instead. Which car do you drive the most? Any mods done to any of the vehicles? if no then are there any mods your thinking of doing?

Andrew5

very few mods i like standard so option out of factory all have strut braces and racing brake fluid and brided lines on brakes other than that they are as i picked them up.

Coupe has options - SatNAV, Roof, CarCom, the wheels, strut brace.
Senator has - SatNAV, roof, CarCom, stru brace
Grange has - SatNAV, Roof, CarCom :P

i dont drive that much to be honest and have no storage space just one car spot so the local HSV dealer stores them for me and i rotate them round as i feel like it, currently driving the Coupe

yep Senator sounds meaty but whistly as you put it under full load and the coupe sounds much beefier like a real v8 and is quite in noraml driving but sounds great under full load :P

I might be reading this all wrong, but you said your Senator 300 is stock. If your mates car is identical, it is stock too. Are you claiming that a stock Senator 300 did a 13.0 sec pass on the 1/4? And that a stock GTS coupe would do 12's?

Don't think so.

Nup Mates has cam and polished heads, but nothing else he achieves time by removing all seats, putting in racing seat, pulls off exhaust and fits 540R to rear tyres, does it easy, dont need to do much to them to make em perform, seats weigh 45 kgs each in front. power to weight.

Doing the Dutton Rally in NSW 1st weekend in June, send you some times, Fri, Sat at Goulburn, Sunday at Eastern Creek

Cheers :P

Fair enough !!! Wasn't having a dig at you by the way. Just read it and couldn't work it all out.

I know with the work I have done I will be low 13's and found it hard to believe a stock 300 could do that.

Very nice GTS Coupe. I had the privilege to drive one at the Muscle Car shootout at Morgan Park. They are a great handling package have a great centre of gravity. I have had to spend a fair bit of money to get My ute to handle as good. Hope to see you at Queensland Raceway sometime, maybe.
