View Full Version : GTS remained the same after lowered springs, Why??

I lowered the rear of my VS GTS today with Super Low King spings and its REMAINED the same height. I even tried the king spring low spring but they seemed the same as the original stock spring so i exchanged them for the super low

What is it that coudl be stopping the car from actually getting lower after the springs. Im totally stumped on it. I even disconnected the shock to see if that was the problem but its still the same.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Year’s back I had my SS Torana lowered. I had a certain big chain tyre centre fit the springs and shocks. Before the lowering the car was at stock standard height. I arrived to pick up the car, looked at the car for a few min I thought to myself that’s at the same height still. The guy said, the springs will need set allying. Great two months went by nothing happen same height still.
I decided to have a look myself, offcourse shit bricks down at the Tyre centre wrongly installed the springs. The spring wasnt sitting in its top grove properly, so there you go,,, check if it was correctly installed, then if that doesn’t work, I would compare all of the springs side by side are they different height when placed together? The super lows should be in theory lower then the others....
If that doesn’t help, then seck pro help good luck...

Yeah, they'll usually take about 2 weeks to settle. After that time, they should have dropped up to 2". If they haven't, i'd be looking at whats wrong

Are you sure you didnt already have low springs in the car when you got it?

Only the Senator had the height control.
