Hi!

I'm a multimedia student, and I'm working on project where I intend to make a 3D computermodel of a HSV Clubsport VY. To do that I need preferably blueprints (accurate and detailed), or at least good photos shot straight from at least 3 views, front, rear and side.

If anyone of u guys have that or know where I can get it, I would be extremely greatful!

If I find it and the project turns out good I promise I'll post some nice shots in this forum...

thanx!

Hi
Forget finding perfect blue prints  . Just ask your local Holden dealer if you can take some photos of the vehicle in question.
What program are you going to use to do the modeling with?
Have you ever modeled a 3D vehicle before?
It isnt easy good luck
How long a time have you to model it?

Yeah, I might have to resort to photos... It's just that it's so much easier with blueprints....

I'm using Maya. This is my first car, I've mainly done organic modelig so far. Yeah, I know it's hard, but its good exercise. I've got 14 weeks, so I should be OK....

Are u familiar with 3D modeling? Any tips? Thinking of using splines to start with at least.

Greetings,

OMO

Hi
I use Alias version 11. I know very well how hard it is to model such a car I wish you all the best, do you have Alias experience?
If yes I would rather use Alias then Maya in the modeling process, I find Maya has different settings and also the layout is confusing, but dont forget Im using Alias software all day.
If you have any questions just ask me, after you start modeling from time to time send us screen shots of work in progress.
