Hi all,

It's good to see a new dedicated HSV forum!

We have had our club and forum in the UK for about a year now and the club meets are well attended.

Our HSV's are GTS/GTS-R (VT11-VX1) and a couple of Maloo's the spec of our GTS = Clubsport R8, inc leather, premium brakes, 18" wheels and traction control.

And the GTS-R = GTS The calloway engineed version.

We are due to get the HSV GTO Coupe in the next few month also!

Our web site is www.hsvdriversclub.co.uk and here are a few pictures from our last club meet.

Hi uk hsv
We welcome you and its cool to see that there is a strong following of HSV enthusiasts in the UK.
When ever you guys have any event pics or news, then feel free to use our forum its open for all HSV and Holden enthusiasts...
Hope to see more posts soon from the HSV UK gang.

Will you get the HSV GTS Coupe over there in the UK or is it only going to be the GTO that you get?
Are you able to buy the VY series2 there?

Hi,

we are getting the standard Monaro (245kw) with only minor changes and according to HSV we will be getting the HSV GTO Coupe as well, with the 285kw engine.

The only cars after VX1 are private imports, so we have a few vy ute's!

HSV stopped importing into the UK in 2002 because of costs but now Vauxhall are to supply the Monaro in this country HSV can afford a return. :D

Hello HSV fans and greetings from the south of England, our recent meet probally accounted for 20% of all HSV's in the UK and can I say I just love mine to bits.

I have 2 modified smart cars and have no trouble swapping between 600 cc and 5,700cc except that is apart from keeping out of police attention.
:D

I bought the car with its unique registration plate a year ago for £20,000 being 3 years old with 50,000 Kms on the clock, good overall condition but the discs were fractured around the drilled holes.

Basically I wanted a V8, thought about hairdresser cars but could not be seen dead in any Germanic  offerings either, then I spotted the HSV in a mag, rang the guy up and bought it unseen – no regrets there. Funny thing was I sat behind the car in the rain for 2 hours at night waiting for a ferry thinking I do not know what it is but it has to be the best muscular looking salon and if I wanted one this would be the car, must have been fate to actually buy that very car only a few months later.

Spent £13,000 next on a complete AV system from Kenwood with 3 DVD players so that Sat-Nav can be dedicated, rear passengers can watch or hear DVD/CD’s via wireless headphones allowing front passengers to listen/watch something else, 1000 watt 5 channel amp, active front & sub bass units, ah yes, it is not legal as I can operate anything on the move. I have 2 police spec strobes fitted into headlight assemblies and four green neon tubes underneath, strobes very illegal but neon’s are ok as you cannot see the tubes, green tints set a black car off nicely. £7,500 spent on the AP brakes soon after. Having had it out on track I must say the brakes are worth every penny. Linden Special Vehicles over here are taking it to 600 BHP and with a straight through non-cat system I expect it to make 450 Kw, again not legal, the lat bit will be another £18,000, right that the house re-mortgaged, got to get your priorities right.
BTW I am a naughty 48 yr old!

As for the smarts, do not think them slow  , ok they equate to very slow car as standard but with twice the power via remaps and different turbos and no traction control/stability thingies they can be quite rapid and will corner like a go kart with 225 section tyres on 18 x 8” rims! Certainly get looked at passing Mercs/BMW's at 175 KPH

I have penalty points on my driving licence from both marques and await some more for getting caught at an average of 163 KPH, fair cop as I was doing 240KPH before I noticed the patrol car on a bridge, expect you can guess what car I was in.

Sorry to waffle on, you know what we pommies can be like..
