did anyone else think the electric pace car at the nascar meeting on the weekend was an oxymoron and just plain wrong?

I didn't see it nor hear about, but I don't like the sound of it.

What are the going to do? Park up at a show n shine and discuss how many amps your charger is. Please...

hurd somewhere they were thinking about making the F1's start on an electric engine and when they got to a curtin speed the petrol would kick in, soooo glad they didnt or at least havnt yet the main reason was the people love to hear them reving off the line...

it was a blue ovaled car, just looked ridiculous going around the track

Don't mind the fact that it's electric but hate the fact it's a Focus. WTF does that have to do with racing :???:

looks like the IHRA have recognised the need for a class for them, i can accept the diesel car bracket but this really????

i raced a guy at a wsid street meet with an electric car once, couldnt help but laugh when he told me he thought he had gone too hard and now he didnt have enough battery power to make it home, imagine explaining that flat battery to the NRMA

I could not think of anything worse to be a pacecar what's next a pushbike a or the horse and cart for the next pacecar
