I there im in need of some advice on buying a second hand clubsport. Car is a 2010 e3 with leather and upgrade 20" rims 12000km. Other than that basically a standard car. This will be my first hsv so pretty excited about it, Im thinking of maybe low 50's but dont wont to insult the guy. Any advice would be greatly apreciated. cheers

I would say between 50-55k would be reasonable. How much is he asking? You have to start the bargaining somewhere and he can only say no.

It obviously doesn't match up with the normal km's and specs but Redbook can always give you an idea...

Is it an E2 or E3 which was released in September?

The first car listed on the link has 10k on the clock for $50k - so go to him saying you can get one similar for this price, if he wants to sell he should be willing to match.....otherwise be prepared to walk away. Its a buyers market ATM.

Don't want to insult the guy? Please!!!! He's a farking used car salesman. Screw his bum. Offer him $41k then say "Sh!t mate you must be selling lots and lots of these today" as you walk away. He will call you back. If he doesn't you can always go back and offer a bit more. Pop the hood and listen to it on idle and ask "can you hear that? What is that?" tell him you hate the gay rims. Look underneath and find fault. SLATE THE FARKING RIDE. Seem as disinterested as possible and this will drive his price down.
You stand there grinning and drooling like an idiot kid at a christmas tree full of presents then be prepared to pay top dollar. Remember it's just a game. Play FARKING hard or go home with a much lighter wallet.
Good luck.

if your worried about insulting the guy ask him how much he realistically wants or something else generic along those lines, and always watch for their body language its a good indicator of whether you can push it or not, and as for you im with stewie, be a stone cold biatch otherwise you will get screwed, your after a 2010 model, there will almost certainly always be another car dude

best of luck with it

Who said it was a dealer? If it is though, forget my advice and follow Stewies. :) I assumed it was a private sale.

Regardless. Business is business. If it is private then offer low then wish him all the very best and offer him your contact when he realises your offer will be the best he gets. Then walk away. Always be prepared to walk away and start over if you have to.Otherwise I have a well loved Whale for sale....only $68,500..........an absolute bargain!!!!!
