Hey all, went into town today and saw the 2012 'Mustang' festival in Newcastle... I know they are not HSV, but there were alot of pristine vehicles and enthusiastic owners. Much the same as alot of us...

I must say some of the cars were impressive, and had I had my chequebook I might well be riding in one of them (those that were for sale), now...

personally im a big fan of the mustangs of old.

they claim to be the longest unrested production car going from something like 56 till now (or 66 cant really remember) but in reality in the 80's i think it was, they continued making the mustang by name, but it wasnt a real mustang, 4cyl box crap, many mustang clubs refuse to aknowledge them, almost like the torana owners club feel about the UC torana

havent been a fan of anything they have done after that period. yeah some of them look nice, and if they carried a different name i might be a fan, but just like the new monaros they arent really like the original ones and they dont carry the same feel.

the old stangs tho... love them.

surprisingly from my understanding the chevy suburban is the longest running production car although the 1930s models are markedly different to the suburbans of today, the f150 started in the 1940s the stang started mid 60s, as for the crap cars couldnt agree more the camaros in the 80s came out with 150hp (real muscle there LOL), that came to you courtesy of the insurance companies and government emissions standards in the 70s, its a shame it has taken 40 years for the cars to have similar outputs again, but have to agree with most on here,no personality, just not the same as the old cars

that claim may be the longest running muscle car or something then,
cant find any mention of it in google..

i can admit that the new ones arent bad. but i just dont see them as anything like what they were in the earlier models...

The stage 2 kit has 725hp...stage 3 which will be released this month has 800hp standard. :)

How the hell do you see over those bonnets??
