All I wanted to do was change the springs as I use the car everyday as the car only has 10000klm don't want to spend to much

Good place to start. You can just let a suspension place know what you would like, eg someone like pedders. They chuck the right springs in, once they settle you have the right height.

Im my case with a VZ, i changed the springs over on mine so the tyre was in line with the top of the wheel arch. However the back was far too low once settled, changed that set over and was tip top.

Check out the gallery .... http://www.wholesalesuspension.com.au/hsv_gallery.html

I followed their advice and fitted Kings SSL all round, very happy with the result and didn't touch any other suspension parts, wheel alignment was done of course.
Check out pic pic 60, mine sits exactly the same

I dont trust pedders and never will again,
they buggered up my previous car, stuffed me around and never fixed fixed it.
Go to autotechnique in Bayswater they will point you in the right direction.
Cheers

Mine below lowered approx 1 inch by Pedders, Sports Ryder springs only. I find them perfect as the car is still high enough to clear driveways etc without scraping and also retain ride comfort/compliance. I had them fitted at Pedders who I have always found fine here in Canberra.....but then again, they are one of our club sponsors so they should be ok lol.

Howdy, a quick question. Do your cars ride any different after you lowered them? Our car is stock and it is rock hard. Are your cars harder, softer or the same after lowering them. I was thinking of lowering ours but didnt want it any stiffer than it already is as we live in the sticks and the roads are bad around here... Thanks

You'll probably find it will have a better ride with the lowered after market spring (to a point) than the factory one as the have a lot more development time and money put it o them. I know when I had my statesman lowered a inch and a half it felt smoother.

Definitely stiffer, if you want a lower a car with a good ride then you will need to change shocks as well.
