Hey all,
I'm looking at getting new shoes for the Maloo, and need some help.
I'm getting some custom made 3piece wheels from the states and want some advice with offset etc.
Sizes I'm looking at are 20x9-9.5 fronts and 20x11 rear, can this be done?
As for offset, I'd like it to be almost flush but sit inside the guards a few mm so it doesn't scrub.
Has anyone else tried for wheels this size etc? As the wheels are custom made, I want to make sure I get what I want and don't stuff it up lol

I think the guys at Harrop have fitted some big rear wheels & tyres to one of their VE's in was in the Motor Mag Hot Tune 2011.

Thanks for that mate!
The calculator is great but I'm not sure as to what offset I'll need to enter lol
Hopefully some ppl can chime in with pics and info on their wide wheels and offset setups

I've done alot of research. Turns out the best version they have in the states is the G8 GXP which has the same brakes as our redline brembos? So our hsv ones are larger?
So can't really take their advice...
We measured my car by hand which to me seemed a little scary as the wheels will be custom made and im so scared we'll fcuk it up haha despite my mate telling me he's do e this all before

Try making a cardboard template of the wheel and tyre combo based on the measures from the calculator.
I did this for the new wheels I'm getting fitted. The template fits and today I will find out if the wheels fit for real

Here's the techo info on the Wheels I just had fitted to my car
Simmons FR20
Fronts 20x8.5 +36 offset
Rears 20x10 +50 offset
Im still running the Stock OEM tyres and don't have any rubbing issues
The Simmons wheels are a 3 piece construction. Inner, Outer, Centre.
The Fronts have a 20x7.0 Inner & 20x1.5 Outer
The Rears have a 20X8.0 Inner & 20x2.0 Outer
The guy who made these wheels said they have fitted 20x9.0 with a 20x7.0 Inner & 20x2.0 Outer to the Fronts on some HSVs
Without any issues.
I am currently looking into different ways of mounting the TPMS on to the wheels and I have found some difference methods on the Web.
The valve stems in the Wheels are 90 degs and you can get adopters to mount the TPMS to the end of the valve stems.
So far I only found these available for the US. Does anybody know if I can get these adopters in Oz???

Fcuk your good! Haha my wheels are on order now, not too sure of the specs as we measured everything and they tell me how big I can go. I believe it's going to be 20x9 front and 20x10.5 rear.
I'll find out in about 4 weeks lol
Get some pics of yours up! U happy with the offsets?
