Hey all!
Just picked up my brand spanking new e3 Maloo and I'm sure the dealer tOld me it had subs?
I look through the grill, it looks asthough you can see subs in there (they look crappy tho haha) but they dont work? All the bass comes from those little speakers in the door.
Anyone have any idea why they don't work?

Hey mate, your right. They do have two 8'' subs behind each seat. Mine is an E2 and you can clearly hear them work. Not sure why yours wouldn't be working. You can try this, with your radio off hold I think track right, disk right and the head unit on/off until the service menu pops up and change the number of speakers to 4/5 and see if that makes any difference.

Mate, I posted a similar thread around the e3 gts sound system, you can turn up the amp gain.

I'm sure I still don't have it right, but there is a decent thread on here detailing on how to adjust it.

I still got way too much treble..

To me the sound system is well less then what you would expect from a sepcial vehicle from holden.

Hey mate,

I had a similar issue with my E3 and just got sick of it so ended up doing a custom sub box behind the drivers seat, amps and new splits, looks trick as and sounds unreal.

removed the jack and lost that pocket behind the drivers seat but now have a 12" type R in the maloo and it punches nice.

let me know if you wan see some photos to give you an idea
