Hi, can someone please help me, i have been told that i cannot get my fog lamps to operate when i have my normal headlights on, they only operate with my highbeam, apparently there is a module, has anyone bypassed this?

Just checked on the Senator, fog lights work on low beam, just pull the light switch out and they should come on.

That sounds like an error if they are fog lamps they would be not good with high beam FOG lights are low as you can get them to go under the fog and should not work on high beam.
I checked out my driving lights E3 Grange bloody bright and high what good are they, no idea looks i guess they don't seem to do any better than the high beam and all of them are illegal if on around town.

I can confirm on my E3 GTS the lower lights are driving lights not fog lights and only come on when the high beam is on

Correct - now changed in E3 since in most states it is NOW an offence to use fog lights (or driving lights) in normal weather/road conditions. The assumption is made that if you require them on then you would have high beam on. Technically they are driving lights fitted and not fog lights

Correct. They're driving lights (which are actually the same as high beam). Fog lights have a different throw and are only on the E3 Senator and Grange.

I had a rant about this soon after picking up my E3... the switch is there, the fog lamp illuminates on your dash - but no F&^%ING fog lights!

I'd rather have the driving/spot lights anyday. Never use my fog lights anyway.

they're pretty good on high beam, but there is the odd occasion that I use fog lights and low beam. The high beam causes a blinding effect, whilst the foggies light up the road from down low, under the fog... oh well, if that's all I have to complain about :)

Thats because the E1 has fog lights. They changed the foggies to driving lights on the E2, but left the switch discription on the dash as fog light (CHEAP FIX)

My point exactly :)
