the paints off the windscreen, got tired of waiting for the cops to show up so took it off. There is a fine mist on the roof of the car, I just tried scratchx but it doesnt seem to be a hard enough cut so will have to try something a bit harsher but i think it might have to go to the panel beater for a re-spray.

Hope you get it all cleaned up mate.

Bloody wankers!
Try using a clay bar or something similar first. You should be able to get it off without having to respray it.

Damn dude, thats just uncalled for =(

Try polish. You can get those cut and polish ones from Kitten. They have tiny grains in it, does a slight cut. Works like a charm.

*******s! I feel for you mate.

03-04-2010, 04:14 PM
god thats gotta suck. i remember a few years back we used to have a problem with taggers around my area. fortunately they have stopped their thing....
hand the pic to the cops they might know whos behind that tag.
and hopefully it will come off with the claybar as white_lie said.

03-04-2010, 07:08 PM
That's shit, as white lie says try a clay bar then go for a paint cleaner, not as harsh as a cut and polish, if all else fails I've used a small amount of thinners in a rag and removed the stubbon stuff, then polished and waxed to bring the shine up. Test the thinners to underside of bonnet or boot just to test, there are different strenght thinners.

went to supercheap and bought some kitten cutting agent to try and cut it out and then got some of the meguirs yellow polish to polish it up. Just dont have much time this weekend. I run my own retail business, plus I have stocktake... was gonna give it a good cut and polish anyway its been a year since it had one.

Kitten cutting compound FTW took the spray paint off the roof panel and then I used the meguirs yellow wax to polish it up came up a treat. Thanks for the advice guys

06-04-2010, 09:57 AM
Good to hear it came up alright... Hopefully the cutting compound didn't take too much off your roof!

06-04-2010, 12:55 PM
Yeah I didn't apply it to the whole car just the affected roof area it was a harsh cutting compound, I only applied it with a terry towel and it took the spray paint right off without too much elbow grease. The meguirs yellow wax is awesome though really restored the black paintwork !
