I'm about to go and inspect a y series clubby i'm interested in :D:D, only thing is, at $19500 its cheap enough to be suss, any common problems i should know about before i go in? obviously i'll do the usual VIN check, get a mechanic to check it out etc, but i thought i'd ask, a little extra information could save me a lot of grief

How many kms has it got? They've come down a lot in prices, but cars in general have. That's the advantage of the current financial state of affairs. :)

No major problems really, just give it a really good looking over, check the log book etc. Try and check it out when the motors cold as this will usually show up any noises rather than a warm engine.

just put a deposit down on the clubby :D got them down to $18250, apparently they were getting $18000 for a trade in, and needed to offload it quick... had my cousin who's a mechanic check it out, aside from some balding front tires and rego due next month, couldn't find anything wrong, except that its an auto :(:( but still, can't argue with that price

That is pretty decent. Its always good to know the history (of any car). AT least the kms seem genuine.
