Hi Guys

I am hoping someone can give me an idea of who does HSV / Commodore Stereo Repairs in Brisbane QLD. I have discovered, now that my 2002 VX R8 is out of warranty , that I have lost sound in the rear (Parcel Shelf) speakers.

The system is stock standard and I would like to keep it original.

There is no voltage reading at the speakers?

Any ides for repairers or remedies. - Please

Thanx

Rear speakers I thought were piggy backed off the rear door ones?

Has it just gone? Have you checked under the rear seat and the back of the rear seat for a loose connection?

Is it a Majestro series?

Thanx for your reply James.

I honestly do not know when they went. I bought the car late April and didnt pay much attention until maybe a month later when I was vacuming the back parcel shelf and noticed no sound?

The rear door speakers work fine however I have had the rear seat fixed under warranty so perhaps something has become dislodged there.

I will check it out - (providing i can get the seat out ) :?

yes it is the standard Majestro series? (Tuner, Tape deck and 10 stack CD)

Thanks for your input

To get the seat out you need to pull up at the front on the lower cushion. It will pop out, then look for connection. Also, rear section comes out with bolts holding the lower corners and then slide the seat back up to get it off the hooks.

See how ya go.

Do you even have speakers on your parcel shelf?
