I've always wanted to know what the power of the V8 Supercars are, what mods are usually done, do they use the ls1/ls2 or what and approx. rwkw. Just interested, thanxz :)

The race cars actually use a Chev 305 Nascar type block from memory. They dont use the Holden Blocks.

Engines are based on a Chevy Nascar design, but are built in house mostly by Larry Perkins, and HRT. 620bhp or 450kw at the engine, so thats around 570-590bhp at the rear wheels on a good day.

Control ECU and restricted air intakes, and now they all have the same exhaust headers as well. Apart from that, most of the engine is up to the teams, but cost control does dictate to a point.
