Yeah I saw that. Director is a Calais with MRC and a badge. Big let down, would have at least expected it to have the SS body kit and some unique wheels

I like the Motorsport edition, but red mirrors on the white car with gloss black features?????? Anyone know if it has TPMS? Kind of retro VC

I reckin the cars are packaged pretty well. price wise and compared against a series 1 Genf SV Clubsport. The addition and cross drilled brakes and MRC on the VFII package is good value.

Now here is the "big one", let's see if Holden offer the warranty with track work, when;-

A.) It's called Motorsport Edition
B.) Clearly shown on a race track
C.) Says it has quote "GM Level 3^ Track Capable with unique powertrain cooling"

A very good legal argument.

Well it seems they will
Quote
Each of the three special editions is ‘GM Level 3 Track Capable’. That means that these vehicles have achieved the same track capable certification as vehicles like the Corvette Z06 and Camaro ZL1. They achieve this certification by conducting 24 hours of race pace laps at GM’s Milford Road Course. The in lap and out lap don’t count and if a certain lap isn’t within a certain race pace timeframe, it doesn’t count either.

Part of testing also includes going through a full tank of fuel at VMax at temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius ambient.

The certification ensures that from a powertrain and braking perspective, they are capable of being driven hard without risk of overheating or part failure.

So they have a sump baffle then?

A lot of attention to detail of the little things, I think would make this a good package, it does have tpms and also forged wheels. Tweaks to the rear subframe and this;
The new front rotors feature an aluminium hat that saves around 3.25kg across the front axle. The floating disc style two-piece rotor offers a more consistent pedal feel in return, while the cross-drilling allows the system to vent gasses built up within the rotor at high temperatures, which can cause a friction drop between the brake lining and rotor.

Don't get me wrong, this is a good package but the price is expected to be at or jut over $70k. Now for $6k more you can have yourself sitting behind the wheel of an LSA R8. Which one would you prefer to be sitting behind the wheel of? Kind of becomes a "no brainer" choice really

A thought...
Holden were given no budget to do an update....parts bin only.
We've already seen a new rear bar and fender from HSV, which wouldn't be cheap.
So either the profit on HSV is astronomically better than Holden ( given the lower sales count expected), or HSV is stock piling plenty of bodies and very much confident of sticking around post Holden.

on just commodres site it looks like people are paying 71k to 73k its a far wack for a n/a commodore with slightly better brakes, don't forget the series 1 redline came with forged alloys which were dropped for series 2,

You're mostly paying for the MRC I'd imagine. Motorsport edition does get forgies again too.
The Track Edition was under 10k more...best brakes available but no MRC. I would probably prefer one of those

360 Directors at $70k plus each.
It's been said many times that most of these will be locked away by investors for the future.
In my opinion you would be better off buying an original (proper) director for this sort of money (or less) as I think these would be far rarer and worth a lot more than this sticker job fake.
The public will not be fooled by these sticker packs.
At least the originals were exactly that ORIGINAL and you could have them individualised by HDT as you saw fit making them very rare and therefore more exclusive.
Just my 2 cents is all

This is from someone elses information but I was told HSV have turned a profit every single year since opening.

I had a VG Magnum replica. Sold it about 9 years ago. I built it from a VG 5 litre S Pack ute.
HDT were still using the Magnum name from VG to VS and they had a ute in VU but cant rememver if it was a magnum or not.
Here was my old ute
