This belongs to a friend of mine.
It is a genuine SV89 but has had tasteful mods so it is no longer original.
It left the factory as a 5L auto, it is now a 5.7L manual with full leather trim in white

Well the new owner isn't wasting time.
My mate had it advertised as it sits in this ad for $17k
Not sure what he actually ended up selling For.
Buyer beware I guess or at least realise there is one hell of a buffer zone in negotiations

I don't understand why people buy cars thinking that they can double their money. Not in this market!

No he won't. Not if it's inspected.
Apparently it needs a paint job. Was talking with the former owner last night

Says it was painted in 2004? Must have been trashed since then if that's the case.

Wasn't trashed at all. the job wasn't done to a high quality apparently. I never saw it after the work was done. It was still mostly original when I last saw it. Mods back then were stereo and manual conversion.
The paint was always meant to be redone but never happened

If you're the current seller then now is your chance to set the record straight. As a seller you'd have new receipts for new work which will possibly gain more $$.
original ad said it was painted in 2004. I spoke to the original seller and he said he wasnt happy with the paint.
i last saw it in around 2008 but not up close.
I do know this car so i will pass on anything i know OR will find out from the original owner if a potential buyer asks.
as i said in another post on this car that it's the owners right to onsell it but they have a right to know its history and i can put them into contact with my mate if they want to know more than the current seller tells them.

When cars of this kind are starting to increase in value and people expect to sell for more then expect buyers to want history. Documented history as well as personal stories from former owners.

I sold a Walkinshaw in 2007 and had the current owner contact me recently for info on it. People want to know their car.

If you have information to help sell this car then post it in this thread or in a new one.

I tolerate people by the way they speak to me.
Mental issues?? Not that im aware of.
using my initials to intimidate me says more about you than myself.
anything ive spoken about above was towards someone who was not nice to many people under more than one name I wrote about things i knew about, remembered and checked up with from the owner who had it 20 years.
