Anyone from south of the border interested in a weekend drive to Bathurst ?
I've never been before and now the Senator is up and running well it's time to make the pilgrimage ..... plan is to stay at the track and look through the museum as well as plenty of slow laps around the track .
Plan to make it happen sometime during the next two months as the warmer months are too busy in my line of work.

If I am not busy with work I would be interested in making the trip from Sydney.

How's this looking?
Might be worth while putting it up in "The bar" and open it up for Vic, ACT and NSW. I am sure if you put up a date around September that would give everyone time to organise the time off.

I might come for a drive half hour down the road to see some cars :)

Righto weekend of 22nd - 23rd August sounds like it ..... I'm also planning on making it to Bendigo all Holden day 16th August with the Vic. club so it will be the weekend following that event .
As with all planning , our jobs can throw a spanner in the works for anyone , however we now have a date to work towards .

On a side note, are you guys entering the all holden day? Is it worth driving out for?

26-07-2015, 10:14 PM
I will join the Vic. HSV club display , but definitely not entering the judging . Wouldn't drive down from Darwin or Brisvegas for it :) , but if you're within 2 hours drive it's gotta be worth a look .

26-07-2015, 11:33 PM
Im in Glen Waverly, my factory is in pakenham.
The senator will never be entered into anything thats judged. Im just going for a look.

27-07-2015, 08:44 PM
Your going to be there anyway, why wouldnt you enter? Just interested. First thing I thought was that I would get a good parking spot for the XUV! haha

28-07-2015, 03:15 AM
the reason ill never enter it is i dont really want every man and his dog knowing whats been done . Alot of it , well all emissions are , well lets say emitting where they shouldnt , get one RTA type having a look and can cause trouble.
Scrutineering tho is a different matter.
Also , ive still got suspension, ch***is bracing, interior and paint to go. A guy i know has been helping me out with some molds for carbon fibre , so i want to get the underbody panels , bonnet and front guards done as well, then im finished.... Xmas, complete..

28-07-2015, 08:38 PM
Yeah fair call. Well hopefully Ill see you up there, will look in the carpark haha

28-07-2015, 09:35 PM
If your there b4 me , you'll here me before u see me . Make sure u yell out. Think I'll hv the VF gts rear end in by then as well .

Bad news guys .... as so often happens work has intervened to screw up a perfectly good social life !
With the NSW fires burning our company has been put on standby to crew firebombers , so can't be too far from home which means unfortunately I can't commit to Bathurst for the weekend .
Apologies for letting the side down ....
