Hey all as you may know I have a VS GTS, however have a VP 5000i clubsport black motor which as you all know is the group a engine block and heads with 4 bolt mains and heads etc. What would this be worth now the base engine that is. Note they do not have the twin throttle bodies. Any ideas?

I'll give you $500 for it & take it out of your way if you like!

I thought it would be worth $1500 at least?

worth a fir bit i reckon, mostly because they are so hard to find. it will be worth what someone is willing to pay.

I'd like one, but I'm not going to pay anywhere near as much as a bloke who needs one for a VN GPA/VP GTS/whatever resto. $1500 seems like it might be fair to me. For a bit more you could convert a good 304 block to splayed 4 bolt, larger bolts etc which would probably be better for high HP. To get good money you'll need to find someone that needs the VK series block. Not too many of those people around.

Chris.

I thought the 5000i engine came out only in Senator, GTS and Statesman, not Clubsport?

Were definitely the left over group a motors in the Clubby 5000i.
Most of those listed were still 200kw motors but used a normal block.
