Very nice. Wish I could justify $35k for an old car

Carl,

If you had any thoughts about justifying $35k on an old car, this is the one to do it. The body work and paint makes it look brand new. It is seriously mental, and would frighten off most muscle cars on the road, even in Townsville. Was pretty much a dream build, based on a matching numbers SV5000 - 383, 6 speed, GPA TTB, FR18's. If I didn't have 4 other cars in the build, I'd most likely own this. I know what Glenn has done to get it to where it is. I'm pretty sure he has receipts for about twice what he's asking, but it owes him more than that again.

Chris.

May be the case? But 383ci is closer to 6.3L than 6.2L... even though it has 6.2 in the ad

hmmm, does anyone know the number then?

383 is a smidge under 6.3 litres. The 63 on the plates refers to the engine capacity.

you can also see where he's added a point between the 6 and 3 on the number plate.

No, cant tell if its early or late either due to 2 things. 1 is this car has climate control, climate was optional on early models but standard later so it could be either.
The other is no HSV badge on the rear. Early models didnt have it but later models did. This one has been resprayed so it could be either there too

Yeah sorry team it is a 6.3L my bad. End of the day it is what it is and I know what has gone into the car. If it doesnt sell then so be it. Just feel that it isnt getting used and I dont go to car shows or power cruise in it. Driven shitters all my life due to whats in the garage so time for a new car and hang up the tools for a bit. GTS is for sale also.

I enjoy and appreciate the comment but mate Sal's SV is in a league of its own. It is a truely unbelievable car and worth a shit load more than mine. That wouldnt leave his shed for less that 50k. Thanks anyway though. I pay tribute to sal for helping me with this one.

It's a real rival for FOBIDN now Kal ;)

Not quite as original but I believe it's a worthy competitor :)

What would you like to know?

It was nice when I bought it but the front bar paint had cracks and stone chips all through it (turned out the bar had been repaired (poorly) once before) so it was repaired and repainted with new stickers, the w**** interior has been re-trimmed, a lot of the interior has been refurbished (steering wheel with leatherique kit) with NOS parts including new door seals. Carpets cleaned also. Whilst everything was apart I dynamatted all the doors and rear seat bulkhead.

Paint has been wet sanded to knock out the remaining peel and then completely corrected. Suspension is being detailed at the moment and the wheels and brakes sealed with opti-seal. The engine bay has been cleaned up further with Lowe Fab gear.

All lights pulled apart and cleaned. I have done all the paint corrections myself etc as I have a side business doing paint correction. Gary's motor trimming in Girraween did the trim and did an amazing job.

Also have a vortech blower sitting there that will be installed after the HSV show late this month :)

Engine is ok. Nothing wrong with it. When i checked with COME and TK the Holden V8 guru the cam is only a baby and would never support the claimed 390rwhp. Best it could muster was about 312rwhp which seems fair considering how nice it idles and drives (will pull 6th from 90km/h no problems). I'll just fix the power with the blower lol.
