Actually it was a fluke, I was looking for something else. Most of what I've found in this section has been found that way :-)

I am a bit suspect of the pics that were posted being from 2006. And 30k seems a little cheap for those cars

And 30k seems a little cheap for those carssame... i was looking at them a bout a 2 years ago and they were about the 42k then they suddenly went up to the high 40k's then sat in the 40's for a while now, for such a small build quantity should be worth more, very nice cars tho...

i have been watching sv6000 for a few years, its only in the last 6 months they have gone down to the early 30s. plus its only the dealers that are doing it. when a private sale comes up they are still in the 40s. Guess the dealers are struggling, good time to get a bargin though

Good point strick, I know that the car market is the worst its been for a few years now but alot of people are trying to get good money for cars like yours but having no bites from buyers so in the end they drop the price dramaticly when in need of some fast money. And to think only a few years ago we were going through a boom. I still think cars like your SV6000 will probilbly hit 28k and sit on that price for a while an then slowly rise after a few years. I am in that boat with my gts as there is a steady price of between 18-22k depending on condition and KM's. That should change when they start to hit 20years old and become a bit more of a classic.

Age of an HSV won't make any difference whatsoever. It's demand. If demand is low and they aren't selling you just wont get high money. Cars are no different to anything else on the market. There are good times to sell and good times to buy. 2007 was a bad time to buy but great year to sell

My reasons for liking he may differ from yours.
I like the aggressive look and sound of them and they're lower looking. I like green more than white, grey or red. The all round package was ahead of its time and for HSV to build a car of this caliber using the VN is a feat not matched since in my opinion. Yes they may have built better cars since but not from the horrible base it came from. Little things like the caprice style rear seat give it a nice interior change that the VP range dont have. And the walkinshaw style front seat is much mor e comfortable than the VN Group A type used in the VP assuming you buy one with that option. Brakes are almost the same so there is no advantage of buying VP unless ABS is a must. 5 matching wheels are better than 4 and a yellow spare.
