Am after a new car and have a e series Senator in mind. Ive came across a few shortlisted models and this one being one of them and wanting to know peoples opinions on it. One being ive heard the x force exhausts are a bit cheap and nasty and also living in Adelaide, it will be a road trip home which if all went through would be a good trip home!
Does anyone have a link to a rough exhaust note for these aswell? Also does anyone know who can do vehicle inspections in QLD (RAA in Adelaide but not sure if any different up there)

You do realize that if you buy a car from interstate it will need to go for an inspection before you can register it here in Adelaide. This car will not p*** the inspection here. You will be better off if you buy a car from here or buy a standard car from interstate as the inspectors conducting the inspections here are absolutely ********. I've been through it

I didnt know they have to go through inspection here as we dont need rego inspections here? Would the modifications make this one hard to p***?

If you register a car from interstate it will need to have a roadworthy before being accepted by SA authorities. Things that may get you knocked back with this one are coilovers, tinted windows, cam, mafless tune, exhaust db readout, and maybe wheels if they are as picky as MR323 says. With his experience he would know better than I would.
If you are still looking to buy then RACQ would be the people to contact to get her checked out.

Hmmmm, going on that, the vehicle in the link above has alot of those modifications and think i would have trouble gettin g it p***ed the pits.

Might have to look in SA or a standard model if i go interstate and do the modifications myself. Thanks for the help boys!

Am liking that, was on my shortlist :p love te beige interior.

My first choice was to buy local and modify myself so think i will stick to that, was going to spend around 60k so if i could get this for 38-40k or even 42, thats some good coin for for modifications

Should be able to get some nice mods for that money. Supercharger maybe...:D

Ooh yeah, thats what im thinking, i think i could get a Harrop 1900, exhaust, otr and CAI from Kpm for 20k.........

Think standard will be the way im swinging now, got me al excited haha

20-05-2012, 08:24 PM
Harrop 2300 ;)

20-05-2012, 08:55 PM
Had earphones in and that killed my eardrums haha

The big 2300, exhaust, cam and good tune would have to be pushing 500kw atw wouldnt it? And still be floating around the 20k mark? My decision has been made i think haha

20-05-2012, 10:03 PM
I think you'll find it will be more like 420rwkw, depending on dyno/tune, etc, I have those exact mods with the 1900 blower and making 400rwkw

20-05-2012, 11:11 PM
On what vehicle moray? What mods do you have? Link to your car at all for a bit of a look at yours?

VE Clubsport, MY08 upgrade which has the LS3 engine, I have the WP190 supercharger package, 1 7/8' ceramic coated headers (hurricane) into 100cpi cats and twin 2 1/2' stainless exhaust. VCM OTRCAI and maffless tune, was done at Sam's Performance. Made 545rwhp and 770nm of torque at the wheels. Oh and it's a manual. From what others have posted the WP230 seems to make 20-30rwkw more then the WP190. But without running back to back comparisons on the same dyno it would really be hard to give an exact outright difference between the two. Good luck with purchase

Is there much torque difference between the 190 and 230? Does the 2 1/2 make more power than the 3" on your car? Sounds like a good rig mate, id like to have that kind of power for sure! Thanks, hopefully will be purchasing soon!

I haven't seen torque graphs so can't give an answer to this question, maybe someone else has and can comment here? As for exhaust, I was told by tuners that the 3' would make a little more up top, the car had the 2 1/2' system on it when I bought it, the cost in changing it wasn't worth the small gain I would have made, but if your going from standard and were after every ounce of performance with a s/charger then you would probably be best going the 3'

Well I got mine from interstate when I put it through regency the only thing they checked was I'd plates engine numbers & tint on the window. Didn't worry about height or looking underneath even thou it was a fwd lol but it is a separate part of regency from the normal defect area.

When im ready to buy i could get a modified model from interstate and could get p***ed without them batting en eyelid at it but then again it could and itd be a m***ive stuff around getting it regoed here.

I definatley think ive been talked into buying standard and modifying myself :)
